What's the difference between Ordinary Membership and Basic Card?
A. Ordinary Membership
 
24 hours breakdown assistance available throughout Malaysia. Free towing and minor on-the-spot repairs service in the Free Breakdown Zones. (reimbursement up to RM60.00 for breakdown that occur outside the Free Breakdown Zones).
RM10,000 motoring PA insurance worldwide.
Reciprocal service and basic assistant with 133 automobile association in 102 countries.
This service is tied to the person, which registered with the AAM, is it covers for unlimited number of vehicle for the registered drivers.

If I was a member, and it has expired, can I still 'renew' or do I have to sign up all over again (and pay the entrance fee)?
A.
Ordinary Member / Basic Cardholder
If AAM fails to receive the renewal payment within three (3) months of the membership expiry date, he or she will cease to be a member. To enjoy the benefits and services of AAM, he or she will have to rejoin the Association as a new member by paying the Entrance Fee and Annual Fee.
 
Q.
Will I get any receipt after I send my cheque payment (for online application)?
A. No. For cheques sent to Autoworld.com.my Sdn Bhd, you will not get any receipt when we get your cheques. Your reference will be the email receipt sent by Autoworld after you have filled up the application/renewal form completely, with the Payment ID (eg. AS 1234)

What will Autoworld do to my cheques?
A. Autoworld will send all cheques to AAM for processing.
 
Q.
How long does AAM take to process the application?
A. AAM will usually takes about 3 - 4 weeks to send you the membership kit (card + guide book + directory + sticker + etc) via snail mail.
 
Q.
What is Autoweb or Autoworld, and why should I send the cheque to them instead of AAM offices?
A. Autoweb is a company (full name: Autoweb Sdn Bhd (323199-A)) which used to manage the Autoworld website. But it has been owned by Autoworld.com.my Sdn Bhd (804477-T) since Jan 2008. We are currently managing the Autowworld AAM online website on behalf of AAM.

Who/what is iPay88 or Mobile88?
A. iPay88 is an Internet Payment Service and Solution that helps online store (or e-store) to accept payment via Internet Payment options such as Credit Card, Electronic Account Debiting service (or E-Debit), Electronic Wallet (or E-Wallet), etc. to complete a sales transaction via Internet.

iPay88 is notified as Online Payment Switching Gateway by Central Bank of Malaysia (Bank Negara Malaysia) under payment system act in year 2006. It is provided by a MSC status company, iPay88 Sendirian Berhad since year 2006 and the company has appointed Mobile88.Com Sendirian Berhad (a MSC status company) as a Sole Authorized Reseller of iPay88 merchants' products and services.

Autoworld appoints iPay as its online payment partner.

A. Please note that your Payment is processed by Mobile88.com Sdn Bhd. The name Mobile88.com OR Mobile88.com Sdn Bhd will be shown on your credit card or bank statement and you will also receive a notification email from iPay88 on this transaction.

Can I send in the payment if I do not want to pay online?
A. Yes, you can pay us by Cheque or Banker’s draft (Pos Malaysia Kiriman Wang is also acceptable). Please do not send us cash. Kindly note your PaymentID, name and telephone number at the back of the cheque/draft/etc for our processing. Payment should be made payable to “The Automobile Association of Malaysia” and mail to:

Return / refund or cancellation policy
A. Fees paid are strictly non refundable by Autoworld.com.my. For cancellation of AAM Membership, please contact AAM Member Relationship Unit at 03-21625777.
